continued from Training DayI wake up groggily and glance at my clock and see that it's 19:12. I've slept for about five hours. I stumble to the toilet and pee and wash my face. Back in my bedroom, I throw on my nightie. Why should I bother dressing if I'm not going out?My stomach growls. I remember Mum talking about leftovers so I go to the kitchen and find them in the fridge. I pop them in the microwave and sit at the kitchen table. The events of the day storm back into my brain.The microwave beeps and I collect the plate and return to the table. Oh, I need a fork. I get one from the drawer, sit down and start shovelling the food in.Mum shuffles in. "How are you, Mary?" she inquires."Been better, but okay."She says, "We need to talk."I look up at her and reply, "Yeah, we do. I need to make a phone call first though. And I'd like to finish eating.""No worries. I'll see what's on TV." She goes into the lounge room and turns it on.I finish my lunch and rinse the plate and fork. I return to my bedroom and find my phone. I pull up my call log. I see two outgoing calls at the top. Now, who did Melissa call first in the car? I think it was her, then Tara. I make contacts for each, so I have them in my list.I decide to call Melissa."Hey, Mary, how are you?""I'm okay, Melissa. I zonked out when I got home, and I just woke up a few minutes ago. I tell her the whole story, from seeing Melissa on the beach up to Kyle's coming into his and Sonya's place."Kyle was furious that Sonya was leaving him. With his earlier text death threat, I was terrified and enraged myself. When he knocked her down, the memory of that night with Dad came flooding back. I was going to kick him hard in the balls with my power, but Tara yelled at me to stop, so I had his muscles all collapse so he couldn't move. Of course, that made me collapse as well."I relate the rest of the events up until I came home."So how do you feel about what you did, Mary?"I think for a moment, then say, "Like you, although not as severe because I didn't actually kill Kyle or even hurt him.
